My dad had an '87, and like my Mercury, the starter had to be changed every 4 months on the dot! I could set my calendar to it. I'd jack 'em up, slide a big sheet of cardboard underneath (easier that way when you're on gravel), and got so good at swapping it out I could do it in under 20 minutes!

Lucky you! My dad put me to work at 7! I said it was hard to push; he told me I'd get muscles that way. :LOL: 5 years later and I had my own mowing & small engine repair biz. When I was 8, he taught me how to shoot. Revolver? S&W Model 19.
