    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Several years ago I had a gunsmith shorten and port an 870 and while he was at it I had him thread the barrel to accept Winchoke instead of Remington's chokes. I added a breacher mainly for visual effect but side saddle does come in handy with #4 and 00 buck at the ready. Was going to add an...

Circle the wagons: There’s a new revolver ridin’ into town.

Don't need to introduce any new calibers into my ammo stock and already have what I call my cavalry model. A New Vaquero in 45 Colt that's been rode hard and is like a Timex.

Whats the oldest (design) gun you would carry for protection?

Several years ago I had a Bond Snake Slayer IV in a holster attached to my seatbelt. The Missus cautioned me that maybe someone would see it when the car was parked and knock a window out to steal it so I put it away somewhere. I still carry snubbies quite a bit.

    Smaller Guns for Defense?

Probably the smallest gun I tend to carry is my K6S with Hornady Critical Defense .38+P. It gets carried in warm weather in an IWB holster and in a coat pocket in the colder months. I sometimes carry an auto but I still like wheel guns. Those younger guys often think I'm just an old geezer...

    Family Stories

As a teenager I worked for a farmer who had been a Marine on Iwo Jima. I remember that on one occasion I saw him leaning against a grain silo and waving his handkerchief at me to get my attention. When I ran over to him he asked if I had a strong stomach. I said I did, what did he need done...

    Leaves me shaking my head...

...just when you think you've heard it all something like this comes along. My wife and I lived in Las Vegas, New Mexico a little over 20years ago for a year and then found a cabin above there in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. We loved it there but moved on in search of better paying jobs...

    Hazardous History. . .

I haven't seen the program being referred to as all too often, after supper and in my recliner it's zzzzzzzzz. I do have to admit that yet once again I misunderstood the subject line of this thread and this is what came to mind.
