That's good! My profile on one forum is: "Primarily L.E. since age 18. Caught'm, Cooked'm, Kept them on ice. Now it's catch and release."

I wish they'd make this for their round but N frames. I have no issues with the olde style J frame grips and have that on my 642.

I think I mentioned this before but I got to see the one at the Fort Rucker Army Aviation Museum when I went down to see my Song graduate Warrant Officer School & pin his wings on. Very cool looking helicopters.

I don't have a problem with cases getting dispo'd that way. If you cut it down to even 50% you'd have to expand the justice machine i.e. courts, prosecutors, jails, prisons, probation and parole, plus staffing costs four fold -except that if we want to get serious about the use of firearms in a...

As far back as the summer of 2022 there have been task forces working on prosecuting folks using switched or modified guns and ATF & U.S. Attorneys were going around giving presentations on how best to prosecute those cases as well as 'ghost guns' and suppressors made on plastic printers at the...

The slovenly? One of our investigators got stopped by a newbie TSA who was flying back to Vegas from Reno after an interview. She had checked her work gun but had her 7 pointed star in her badge wallet. He said it could be used as a weapon . I believe he was seconds away from being shown...

Would love to see pics of that!

Yes! From one of your old posts it appears we have similar tastes. I've had two Seattle Detonics Combat Masters and the first 9mm I shot was a Walther P-38. The ASP you had has always been a favorite concept gun for me. So classy. If I could have found one of the ASPII's I would have never let...

I left one of my 1911 style guns in the window sill and all the edges melted in the sun.

Yes, I suppose that's true. Depending on the training and agency cadre doing the training.... IDPA GAME priorities required under time: Safe handling of firearms during an engagement operating from concealment or duty rig. Using cover or concealment and not exposing yourself unnecessarily...

This is a sentiment that has been expressed since the 1970's with people competing in PPC. A fairly low percentage of gun owners/shooters will ever attend IDPA or USPSA much less do force on force training, just like only a miniscule number of 'open-carry' folks have done firearms retention...

In LV a pair of illegals had the misfortune to pick a cop bar to rob. One got mag-dumped with a .25 and was deported to his maker.

They made some revolvers with extremely tight cylinder gap that could be suppressed. Basically a cylinder or two before lead and fouling locked the gun up. Pretty quiet as there was no action noise.

Where is Casey Ryback when we really need him?

I had a full size and it was a great shooting little rifle. If I could ever find a carbine I'd be sorely tempted -even being pretty much out of the gun market.

15 years in Federal SORT is awesome. I've always heard that FBI HRT, Border Patrol's BORTAC, USSS CAT teams and FBOP's SORT are the best of the best trained of the fed's LE tactical teams. Thanks for sharing!

Florence ADX the "Alcatraz of the Rockies" has a very well staffed infirmary, but occasionally there would be a high level prisoner that needed either emergency transport or surgery. There would be a procession of blacked out Ford Expeditions and (at that time) several little white sedans that...

Corrections is a "Many Splendored Thing" for sure! I always got a kick out of them taking one of the big names out of ADX with the procession of Expeditions and then the little white shitbag sedans that were the 'mobile perimeter.'

You best bring yo strap if you holdin' bands, Aight?
