Bystander/good Samaritan eliminates shooter at school

You have that right. Demonizing the man who canceled the BG's ticket would be a hard sell.

Discussion: The True Story Behind the Mattel M16 Rifle

If the stock were issued during the period of "rumspringa", It would probably be "morning wood". ;)

I am in deep, deep trouble!

Someone should tell my sister-in-law about the recall. The florist down the street has an inventory that is suffering horiffically!

Bystander/good Samaritan eliminates shooter at school

That happened over in Bend, (OR). Thank God we had a level-headed permit holder. May the offender eternally feel tormented in perdition.

Discussion: The True Story Behind the Mattel M16 Rifle

Gentlemen: The old "M16 made by Mattel" canard/myth came from a Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In sketch. A few of the Laugh-In Players portrayed men in US Infantry uniforms acted like their rifles were jamming. One actor blurted out "My M16 was made by... Mattel?" I remember watching it on KVAL-TV...

The bridge of my glasses broke, and I had a friend perform an emergency repair, soldering them together. I got to the VA and the Optometric Department replaced the frames within 7 minutes (crisis averted.) Today, I received a new pair of glasses in the mail. (It has been a week since the...

"Good" Surplus Beretta 1934 .380 ACP for less than $300.

If you want a .380, that Beretta is being sold at a "bargain" price. If all else fails you can have the barrel replaced (the Accokeek, MD factory should be able to supply a fresh one.) A good 'smith should be able to install it. New springs, an extractor, and some refinishing should bring it up...

"Good" Surplus Beretta 1934 .380 ACP for less than $300.

I have three .380 ACP DA/SA pistols (two Bersa Thunders and a CZ 82.) The Beretta is nice, and of good quality, but I don't need another.

The VA is back to worrying me.

I was going back to Internal Medicine, when I discovered the Proctologist was once a Photographer! (Say cheese!)

    .32 ACP Self Defense

And wisely so. The FMJ, loaded to the proper OAL, avoids the dreaded "rim lock" that can get you killed in a life-threatening situation.

    .32 ACP Self Defense

ABSOLUTELY! IMHO, ignore the "you need a hollow point load to be effective" nonsense. I have five .32 ACP handguns. Your very best bet is to buy a "European" level FMJ load. Look up how well the Fiocchi 73-grain "blue box" FMJ load penetrates from a 2.5" barrel (on Lucky Gunner's tests form...
