using quick target program (2,500 meters is max) i've done some testing using cartridges from 338 to 510 with all sorts of weights and brands. with barrel lengths of 40-50" all go subsonic just passed 1 mile to about 1.25 miles and drops hare horrid! however with 1 cartridge and weight...

i wonder if they actually did a group test (if any hit the paper) with 55gr @ 3,400fps in a 7t! on nearly if not all cup-n-core bullets they'll come/fly apart at those rpm's! max velocity in a 7t is ~3,110fps. on a 7.5t it's still over the velocity by ~70fps. 8t would be the better...
