I'm sticking with irons for now. If the sentinel had a gap at the back like the shields do it would have been perfect. I like the looks of the holosuns but I don't want to modify the slide yet and I'm still waiting for a picture to see what the 507k looks like when mounted with an adapter plate.

No, not completely. The sentinel will block approximately the lower 2/3rds of the iron sights. I liked the optic but ultimately returned mine for this reason.

I took the quick/cheap way out and just painted the white semi-circle with glow-on paint. It actually turned out pretty well. I tried to get a picture in complete darkness so it'd show up better. This was the best one I could manage It's not exactly perfect but for $14 I won't complain...

I can speak from personal experience that no it does not. The Swampfox Sentinel will obstruct approximately the bottom 2/3rds of the Hellcat's front sight. IMHO that's unacceptable for a carry gun. From my research the only optics currently available that will not obstruct the Hellcat's...

Another reloader here. Like someone else said I don't reload to save money, I do it because its part of the hobby and I like the ability to roll my own.

I've asked a few people who specialize in springfield parts (including xdman himself) and have been told the OSP has a special dovetail that nobody makes sights for yet. I'd love to know if you find another option.

I decided to return my Sentinel. It looks great and the build quality seems high, but unfortunately the body blocks about 2/3rds of the irons. The u-dot is almost unusable with the Sentinel installed. It may sound like nitpicking but I want a full sight picture on the off chance the optic...

Either one would make the Swampfox suitable. It'd be nice if somebody made taller sights that fit the Hellcat OSP but apparently nobody does. So if I fault the Hellcat it's for having what seems to be a unique dovetail for the rear sight that nobody (yet) replicates.

I only have one complaint about the Hellcat and it's specific to the OSP. Springfield should have given it taller sights. I have a Swampfox on mine and it blocks more than half the front sight.
