    ConcealedCarry attire

It really is the one holster to rule them all. Clothing just isn't a consideration once you use an Enigma. Especially the Open Source models they sell unassembled where you bring your own kydex holster. You can *really* fine-tune your own personal setup. I'm also a STRONG believer that...

Kuna Optics Experiences After Almost a Year?

It's the Magpul MS4. The dual QD one. While I'm at it, I'd recommend the HB Industries 1913 Stock Adapter for the Kuna. It replaces the plastic rear picatinny rail with a metal part that also features an extra QD point that I think is the best place to attach a sling to personally. Also the...

    More magazine capacity

I started carrying a small waist pack a few months ago and it's revolutionized the amount of ammo I can carry easily. In a tiny 1.5L pack I can easily keep 2-4 spare 15 round magazines along with my wallet/keys etc all tucked in nice and secure. I find myself carrying 4x extra 15rd magazines...

    40 S&W Kuna

Love my 9mm Kuna. I won't buy a .40 model myself but I'm so happy to see the Kuna line expand. It really is such a great firearm.

Smith and Wesson MP 9 2.0

Strong M&P fan. My daily is Shield X and my backup is a Bodyguard 2.0. My first pistol was a first-gen Shield. I think the M&P grips/grip angle are the benchmark other pistols should be compared against. They just feel so natural in the hand to me.

    ConcealedCarry attire

This is where the Phlster Enigma really shines. It's completely clothing agnostic. Especially for women (or men) that have a varied wardrobe. Not everyone wears button down shirts and a belt every day. But with an Enigma, it truly doesn't matter what you wear. It's the one setup to rule...

    Cane For Personal Protection

I don't want to say that you shouldn't carry a cane but I'd be very wary of how to deploy it, especially in enclosed spaces like a vehicle or hallway and honestly I'd be afraid of having the cane stripped from me and being beaten with it myself. I think pepper spray is better than a cane in...

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I'm pretty convinced the BG2.0 is "enough" gun for 99% of people and self defense encounters. I won't **** on anyone for carrying more, I often do but realistically if you need more than 12rds of .380acp and shooting past 7yds you're going to have a real problem justifying self defense. So...

Discussion: Ayoob: Is the 1911 Wrong for CCW?

Its always a question of how good the holster is, not how big the gun is. But we are gun lovers, not holster lovers.

Yep. I've heard good things too. They're one of the few I would consider installing.

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I totally understand that. I keep hoping they release 17rd extended mags for the X. That's definitely a benefit in favor of the hellcat. And I wish the CSX-E had a light rail cause I'd have one of them if it did.

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I have been thoroughly pleased with my Shield X purchase. I briefly considered a Hellcat but the chunky grip didn't really jive with me and M&Ps have always been my first love. The Shield X grip angle is perfect and a Hogue grip makes it comfortable and non-slip. 10/10.

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

I find the tensioned sling offers like 80% the performance of a brace. Even folded it doubles the thickness of the gun and makes it stand out more on my body when concealed. So discarding the brace and making the whole gun less than 16" and about an inch thick is awesome. When you push out...

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

With a tensioned sling you can create a third point of contact and utilize a larger rifle optic. So-called "SAS style". I feel confident I can shoot 25-100 yds with the Kuna on a sling but I'd be really stretching my abilities at that distance with a regular handgun. Plus 30 round mags and a...

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

I'll take a Kuna or MP5K. I think the benefit of these guns is their small size and not having a brace on these guns can make them *tiny* compared to the St. Victor and it's mandatory buffer tube/brace. For vehicle guns or concealed PDWs, roller delay really makes all the difference. I can...

    Newbie First Time Buyer

By indexing, I mean in the same position every time so your draw is the same every time. If you can wear a belt with all your clothes, it's not a huge deal but if you like basketball shorts or sweat pants or are a woman etc that don't have belt loops commonly, an enigma helps greatly with indexing.

    Newbie First Time Buyer

Yep. I have the holster drawer AND the stomach callouses from wearing shitty setups while figuring it out. It's absolutely a process and requires tuning. And sometimes what sucks out of the box, is your dream setup when tuned. CCW is a commitment to be sure. When it comes to tuning don't be...

    Newbie First Time Buyer

Holsters are super personal and there is no wrong answer, just the one that works for you. But my preferred carry method as of late has been a PHLSTER Enigma. It can be worn with *anything* and is completely clothing agnostic. I am big on indexing and ensuring things are in the same spot for...
