I got my Garrison back from Springfield. It spit the 5 of the first magazine into my face. C.S. sent me an RO number. So I got to shoot it this morning, It was perfect. I shot some standard 230 gr. range ammo, Federal, Underwood, and Speer. Underwood +P and Speer Lawman +P. Every shot went...

I recently had a 'fun' time with FedEx, too. I bought a Fusion Firearms - Riptide. (I live in St. Cloud, FL and Fusion is 175 miles away in Venice, FL) FedEx gave my pistol a mid-south tour. Venice to Punta Gorda to Memphis, TN to Orlando then to St. Cloud. At first I thought it was just...

The one you have in your hand, when you need it...

I had to send my Garrison back to Springfield, all the brass of the first magazine hit me in the face. Springfield C.S. agreed it needed help. The thin grips are also too-small for my hands. They worked on it and installed full size escutcheons. I got it back today. I have a set of CocoBolo...

First: Nobody wants to get shot, with anything. I went to more stabbings than shootings. I went to more foiled robbery's that had no shots fired. The victim had a gun, the robber ran away. I had to go to a robbery at a restaurant where the robber had a putty knife under his jacket. The cashier...

I'm abjectly right handed, so the safety issue doesn't bother me at all.

I agree,, I prefer Wilson or McCormack (also made by Wilson) magazines. I've never had the slightest hitch with either.

The whole thing was beyond ridiculous. The "activists " really believed it.

No. We carried them for several years, but had to quit. We also had to stop shooting at black silhouettes and get blue targets. The black silhouettes were just practice for shooting blacks.

My smallest 1911 is a SA Garrison, 4 1/4 inch. I don't trust the littlest pistols.

The Ranger T is the same ammo as the black talon. The projectile is not black. Black talons were just for shooting black people. We had to give ours up at the PD.

My original SIG P365 with a Sig Armorer carry trigger job.

Speaking of a good carry pistol... That's a 1791 Gunleather holster.

I was looking at the 1911 list at the SA website. I copied the UPC of the Garrison and entered it into the gun.deals search site. I found a new Garrison for a price I could not ignore. It came in yesterday, and I picked it up.

I got his from Wilson Combat.

The first all stainless 1911. This is an AMT Government Model, not the 6 inch Hardballer.

Any knife sharpeners will work, but the hardness of the ceramic blade takes a lot of work. I no longer have any ceramic blade knives, not worth it to me. I've made knives; I used 440C and 1095 steels. I sold all the knives I made, and don't have any left even for me to use.

I've sharpened them with a ceramic 'steel'. It takes a lot of work I don't think it's worth the cost. Money and time..
