Discussion: First Look: COA-Equipped Prodigy and 1911 Pistols

Not for me either but I'm still shooting and carrying revolvers part of the time.

    Hammer fired guns

As far as hammer-fired polymer pistols go, these are the ones I like. That's why I still have them.

    Echelon 4.0C Guide Rod/Spring Upgrade

I replaced the polymer guide rod on my 4.5 with the one from NDZ. Just don't care for polymer guide rods, no other reason.

    Want My Omelet?

I still have a P-51 (the larger P-38) on my dog tags hanging in the gun safe. Hadn't thought of C-Rats for some time.

Discussion: M1 Abrams — Best Job I Ever Had

I remember them being introduced to the 2/11 Cav when there was still East and West Germany. Those guys in The Black Horse loved them.

Battle of The Bulge movie coming out.

My Dad's baby brother was with Patton during WWII. He told me that it took him over 30 years to get where he could walk in the woods, he never hunted or fished again. Each time he would step on a stick and it would snap he would break out in a sweat and think, "Oh God, I know the Krauts had to...

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Courtesy of Wikipedia, your welcome. A ported barrel is a type of firearm barrel that has holes or ports near the muzzle, designed to redirect propellant gases upward to reduce muzzle rise and improve control during shooting. This modification can enhance shooting performance by allowing for...

    Lets see your Fighting Shotguns

Several years ago I had a gunsmith shorten and port an 870 and while he was at it I had him thread the barrel to accept Winchoke instead of Remington's chokes. I added a breacher mainly for visual effect but side saddle does come in handy with #4 and 00 buck at the ready. Was going to add an...

Circle the wagons: There’s a new revolver ridin’ into town.

Don't need to introduce any new calibers into my ammo stock and already have what I call my cavalry model. A New Vaquero in 45 Colt that's been rode hard and is like a Timex.

Whats the oldest (design) gun you would carry for protection?

Several years ago I had a Bond Snake Slayer IV in a holster attached to my seatbelt. The Missus cautioned me that maybe someone would see it when the car was parked and knock a window out to steal it so I put it away somewhere. I still carry snubbies quite a bit.

    Smaller Guns for Defense?

Probably the smallest gun I tend to carry is my K6S with Hornady Critical Defense .38+P. It gets carried in warm weather in an IWB holster and in a coat pocket in the colder months. I sometimes carry an auto but I still like wheel guns. Those younger guys often think I'm just an old geezer...
