    Living the “snub life”

I have always liked short barreled revolvers for their ease of carry and concealment not to mention the reliability and confidence they provide. Keep shooting.

After all is said and done, don't discount the smallbore pistol.

For myself, the smallest caliber that I carry on occasion is either a 38 +P or a 9mm. My preferred caliber is/has been the 45acp. An old timer once told me "Never use a small caliber gun on a large caliber man." Not knocking anyone else's choices, just my 2 cents.

The 1911 and Glock shared a “What The Hell Is This” moment

When I was a mere lad if you said somebody had an "automatic" pistol it was naturally assumed that you meant either a 1911 or one of those new Ruger 22s. It was still the era of the revolver. Plastic pistols you filled with water to squirt each other with because even the cap guns were metal.

Ayoob Writes About the Guns of a Great Writer

I actually lived just outside of Las Vegas, NM where that movie was made when it was filmed. The US-Mexico port of entry scenes were at the edge of town. I had to make a run for who I worked for and saw the port of entry and asked the other guys at work when I got back if I had missed...

What Really Matters in Terms of Self-Defense…By the Numbers

Over 40 years ago I had 3 young punks follow me and my wife after we left a local restaurant talking :poop:. We only lived a couple blocks from the place and I didn't want them following us home. I told her to cross the street (for her safety) and go home, don't stop, don't look back and go...

I have 1 Sig, it's a P320 Compact that has an Apex flat trigger and reset bar along with an Agency full crowned barrel. It is accurate, The Missus can rack the slide and likes shooting it. My SIL wants it but I couldn't live with an accident happening if he owned it and he got it from me. So...

Hegseth following Gen Marshall's pre WWII housecleaning

30 day rotation mid June-mid July. Everyday 115+, one day it was 126 and I said this can't get any hotter. The next day was 130, after that I kept my mouth shut. After a couple weeks of that daytime heat my body became somewhat acclimated and at night it would be 85 degrees and I would get...

Police seizure proves they are on a roll in crime fighting

Back when I was a youngster we tipped over outhouses on Halloween. Activity such as that on any other nights would get the bark knocked off you by your Dad. That was a day or two ago.

ATF Loosens Rules for Suppressor Repairs and Caliber Changes

My neighbor's grandson owns a few suppressors partly due to his college buddy's family having a company that makes and sells them. He told me that before long we should be able to just walk into a store and buy them without all the paperwork. I told him I was waiting until you could pick them...
