I beg to differ. The NRA is the most well known gun lobby and their word does carry weight in political circles. However, some of the others, GOA, SAF, etc have been far more effective in recent years. I'm fine with that. NRA gets all the attention and bad press, while the real 2A organizations...

Fast food is about convenience. Stop in a grab something quick. Now days a lot of folks aren't finding it convenient to grab a burger when you can go to a nice sit down restaurant for the same money. Or go home and throw something in the microwave for half that. Fast food is pricing themselves...

Many of us do. But now that WLP is gone and some new blood sits on the board, they are trying to set things right. I hope they win.

That's what they all are. Very few will have matching parts. That's just part of the rebuild procedure. But they're all functional and up to specs. They work just fine. The few all matching guns that they find will be auctioned off for way more than the average shooter wants to spend.

Voters have been forced to choose the "Lesser of two evils" for far too long. You still end up with evil and that's why this country is in the mess its in. 🤬

Both of mine are Service Grade. Outside of a little expected finish wear, they're fine. Not a very good picture, but it'll give you an idea of condition. 1 and 2 are the CMP guns. I'm afraid there is a bit of glare on #1. You might also note that the thumb safety on #2 is black as it has been...

I have guns that go several years between range trips. I even own a few that I've only fired once. Too many guns and just not enough time. :rolleyes:

I have two of the CMP 1911s. Excellent gun for the money and a real piece of military history. A USGI 1911 on the open market will cost at least several hundred dollars more. However, be aware that they are mixmasters that have been through at least one rebuild. Maybe more. Plus CMP inspected...

I love the Hi-Power. I have a couple of the Girsan copies and can attest that they are good guns. But that.......... No. 🤬

One of the nice things about being retired is that I fill my gas tank once a month. whether I need to or not. ;)
