    CZ BREN 3

I've had my eye on this since it was announced. I think the improvements from v2 to v3 are good. Rumor has it that those improvements were prompted by feedback and data from end users in Ukraine, as well as existing contract clients around the world.

What Is the Best Caliber for Self-Defense?

Yes, thank you (all) for the correction. They did eventually surrender their 1076s 10mm. As a special unit the HRT has wider latitude and they have been contracting small numbers of single and double stack 1911 variants for many years. They purchased around 500 Springfield HRT/Professional...

What Is the Best Caliber for Self-Defense?

In my personal opinion, "...the best caliber for self-defense" is any with which you are proficient and comfortable using. Availability and effective projectile options are important too, but untold numbers of human beings have fallen to Plain Jane RN-FMJ (and basic Lead before that!). I can't...

    F-86 Sabre — America’s MiG Killer

The F-86H (Fighter/Bomber) were always equipped with quad 20mm cannon. The F-86F was the transitional Sabre model. Wartime testing of “Project Gun-Val” modified F-86F (designated F-86F-2) demonstrated the superiority of cannon armament and munitions over the Heavy Machine Guns.

    F-86 Sabre — America’s MiG Killer

Really enjoyed this article on one of my favorite USAAF/USAF fighter jets. I was a bit dismayed at the doubts cast on the Sabre aerial victories from the Korean War. American forces have always maintained high reporting and confirmation requirements. This is particularly true in comparison to...

Ruger Wants to Know Why Texas’s AG Gave Wells Fargo a Pass on Their Financial Discrimination Policy

Sadly, Texas is in a deliberate multi-year process of recruiting California companies and their California progressive liberal executives, management and skilled workers to relocate to the Lone Star State. As a result of this Leftward influx of money politics, politicians such as Texas's AG will...

Do You Really need a .357 Magnum for Self Defense?

I don't think a lot of people replying to me understand that Talyn was linking to a Travis Pike article of the same name from http://gatdaily.com . I was commenting on the points brought up by the author of the linked article which Talyn posted here for discussion. It's a good read and i...

Do You Really need a .357 Magnum for Self Defense?

Yeah, the post was in reply to Mr.W's statements about the "excessive force" merits of using a 22LR over a 357RM (or any larger caliber), but I thank you for the advice, Sid!

Do You Really need a .357 Magnum for Self Defense?

Annihilator, thanks for bringing Greg's American Handgunner article in to the discussion. It really is a good read. It is an interesting, but unscientific, attempt by Greg Ellifritz to present an alternative to the prevalent and widely accepted research on pistol cartridge effectiveness. He...

Do You Really need a .357 Magnum for Self Defense?

By your interpretation of the premise from this thread's OP, the answer to any cartridge would be "No". Clearly, this question begs subjective answers and even "Harsh Language" would be a valid alternative to the 357 Magnum.
