Interesting. How does gold perform in daylight compared to night?

I have an Eschlon 4.5 with an RFX 11. Almost useless because the rear sight is totally blurred, and the green dot is fuzzy and flaring like headlights at night. I wonder if a different color, a red dot, or an illuminated reticle would help?
