Want to put a match Barrel on my M1-A, Have talked to Kreiger, they only have a 3# plus heavy barrel available. Not sure about going that heavy. Any Suggestion would be appreciated.

As my eyes are fading with age I have mounted the Springfield 4th Gen Alum Scope mount on my M1A ( I trained on M-14's in the Army back in the 60's before they issued the Mattel M16 to me when I got to Nam) Still love my M1-A. What scope would you recommend to me. Looking at a Vortex Strike...
