Hex Wasp - Anyone’s randomly stop working?

Yep, bought my Hellcat about a month ago. Hex/Wasp battery is now dead. Thought they were supposed to last a year or so. I bought the gun with sight new but who knows how long the dealer had the gun. I'll take it off and put another battery in and see how long it takes that one to discharge.

    compensator on RDP HellCat

Thank you Hans. No debris or anything and read instructions but one has to push the locking lever in with a fingernail and really depress it with firm pressure toward the muzzle to get the compensator as far toward the muzzle as possible. Got it. Thank you for your help.

Thanks again Killer. One has to push the locking lever in sharply with a fingernail and push harder toward the muzzle. Got it. Thank you for your help.

    compensator on RDP HellCat

Thanks for the pic Bear. I did get it with some help from James. One has to push the locking lever in further and push hard against the muzzle whilst twisting.

    compensator on RDP HellCat

That finally did it. I had to push the locking lever in further and screw the compensator in further with firm pressure toward the muzzle. James your a Genius. I knew it wasn't debris. I appreciate it.

Cleaned it and the barrel. I'd be happy to send it in to have Springfield take a look.

    compensator on RDP HellCat

Thanks Hans. Yes I did read the instructions and had success several times but the latch quit locking positively in the groove on the barrel.

    compensator on RDP HellCat

Thanks Killer. Yes, I did back it off and made sure it was aligned with the groove on the barrel but the latch doesn't seat in the groove. Possibly the spring isn't strong enough on the latch. ?

    Hellcat

All true Hans except the locking button doesn't lock into the groove on the barrel very solidly. I think a stronger spring on the locking button OR a deeper groove on the barrel is in order. Love that you can remove the compensator by pushing on the locking button but doesn't quite lock back...

    Hellcat

The problem with the little button that fits into the flush area is it doesn't provide a positive lock on the compensator. At least it doesn't on mine and the RDP is new. It's a great idea though just needs a little more positive click into the groove on the barrel.

    Hellcat

The negative about the comp on the RDP is the locking button (which I agree is a good innovation) is the locking button on mine doesn't "lock" and the compensator begins to rotate. It seems the locking button doesn't provide a positive lock in the indent/groove of the barrel. Maybe my pistol...

    compensator on RDP HellCat

My newly bought HellCat RDP compensator does not "lock on" to the threaded barrel as it should. Any ideas?
