They lost me also. I have two Wasps and have struggled to get them working correctly. I have had to send for replacements twice. i have 2 Hellcats. i have ordered a Sig P365x and am not even considering a Wasp. I think I will go with the 507K GR x2 Holosun. Green dot, switchable reticles...

I think that the reluctance to any a plate is that many of us use the Hellcat with Wasp as our EDC. Anything that adds to the size in any way can push it over the top as it is borderline with optic. Many use pocket carry. not talking weight here…just height.

I wonder if there are any other forums/groups that are discussing this problem? I haven't seen any. We (here) are a very small number of Wasp owners and can't be the only ones affected by this issue.

I would add that I received the replacement on February 8th and confirmed the dead battery today...March 10. So...just about 30 days. I really resent loss of time and use with this problem.

I also note that the replacement dot seems brighter than the one that failed. This is helpful in the bright sun here in the desert but...I can't see any dimming in lower light, at least I can't detect it with my poor eyes. It may not end well if the failure to dim was the problem. Buggers.

Have we heard from anyone who has had the Wasp replaced and had continued battery problems? Is the replacement taking care of the problem?

Frankly...I am a bit dismayed at the fact that no one from Springfield has posted on this thread with some sort of explanation. This forum is part of Springfield's web site so they are no doubt aware and monitoring it. It would be best if they would step up and face the situation head on so...

I had the same problem as many others above. I received a notice that it was received on 1.24.2022. I had received notice from FedEx that they had delivered to Springfield several days earlier than the notice. The notice said to expect some action in 2-4 Weeks. I will post what happens...
