Good article. From my experience with Detroit PD back when we still used 2 and 3 D cell MAG LIGHTS (as much a weapon as a light) away from the body seemed more comforting- incoming is directed at the light three feet from your body while you still had the option for non- lethal force by whacking...- edmarshall
