I'm familiar with the platform, but have not run into this issue before. It's been a while.

Spring I have, I lost the detent. Ill be checking that receptacle for the missing detent. I'm sure its out though as the selector is essentially stuck in the firing position right now. Ill try your suggestion though!

Thanks! I checked for all that early on. I can see into the hole, but its a silver grey piece of metal keeping the detent from going all the way in. The selector is on "Fire", currently and is completely inserted in its position.

So, changed out the pistol grip and managed to lose the detent, going into outer space with the ISS and all the lost socks from the dryer... ordered a new detent and went to put it in, but about half of it hangs out the hole?? I watched a couple of videos for installation and it seems to just...

Guess I wasn't thinking (hazardous!) My pin is a pain to push, but Ill lube it and see how it goes. I like the ideas submitted though.

I like to separate upper/lower when cleaning... less cumbersome.

Anyone know if you can just remove the spring and detent permanently to just have a pin you can remove as needed without going through the BS of capturing the spring and detent, turning it etc.?

If its happening with all your mags, it could be an extractor issue and definitely a gun issue. If you have snap caps, see if you can replicate the problem. Id also ensure the recoil spring is in decent shape.

Go to the range and bench shoot the gun from about 10 yards, using each of the holds described. See where your shots land. Ensure you are using defensive ammo for your tests as their ballistics can vary greatly from target ammo.
