Sometimes, but I prefer following bc22wm’s lead.

Chinese Nationals smuggle in Agriculture Bio pathegen

Somehow, this reminds me of the 60’s or 70’s ballad “One Tin Soldier.” There are always those who want what someone else has and are willing to do what is necessary to take it. Maybe, the intent of the folks who smuggled in the pathogen was entirely to further their career in research, but...

    Hunting

The linked article sort of goes along in the same vein as the new Florida law about animal cruelty, only aimed towards wild versus domesticated animals. One day, hopefully not in my lifetime, hunters may become extinct. Long live veganism (not!)! https://apple.news/AOVTjqxz4SoaYt-WqEvXAqA

Thank you, Hayes. May God bless, comfort and strengthen the family of this young officer. Senseless!

Penalties for abandoning pets during natural disasters

If a person makes a decision to have animals, then they need to do their best to take care of the animals. I have always been a “dog person,” and I love my dog. That being said, I think this law goes way too far. Whatever happened to “mind your own business?” I have no idea why somebody...

    Holster help

I like Crossbreed. The Reckoning works well for AIWB. I use a Supertuck AIWB, because Crossbreed did not offer a Reckoning for my preferred pistol. I cut part of the leather off and moved the belt clip for the end of the holster closest to my body centerline. I can wear it comfortably all...

    Got my insurance bill

My rates have shot up as well. I asked my agent at my last renewal why I needed uninsured motorist coverage when my state requires insurance for everyone.

The Armory Life Interviews: Black Hills’ Jeff and Kristi Hoffman

Thanks for the link, Mike. An interesting article. Small businesses like Black Hills don’t get a lot of attention in the “press,” and I appreciate TAL publishing your interview.

Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft: Black Hawk Killer?

It seems to me a design along the lines of a Harrier might be better.

Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across the United States: 2024

Thanks for the graphic and info, Talyn. If accurate, it is interesting that some of the “blue states” are really blue! A little hard to believe and understand.

Is a .22LR round plausible for self defense?

I find it interesting that this topic seems to pop up on a regular basis. We all know the “right” answer, but for some people (not many of us here) a 0.22 is about all they can afford, both the gun and ammo. Better than nothing, for sure!

Carrying Concealed: Are Old Fanny Packs The New Trend?

I have carried a Fanny pack since back in the 1970’s when big game hunting but have never carried a gun in it. To me, the most convenient and comfortable carry is a snubby in my right front pocket (in an appropriate holster, of course).

Seven Great Semiauto Pistols Under $700 Dollars

Thanks for the link, Anni. Interesting article. Probably (at least it seems to me) most of us here have the financial resources to allow us to consider under $700 an affordable pistol. But I suspect that a lot of people who need a gun for self/home protection much more than most of us would...

Range Report: Another Fantastically Mediocre Practice, 4/30/25
