I normally carry on extra double stack when carrying my Glock and 2 xtra 8 rnd single stacks when carrying my 1911.

N Need to try the Bigfoot belt they are great I can carry a Glock 20 10mm and 2-15 Rnd mags + knife and they hold up without sagging. They have a stainless steel band sandwiched between the leather.

I believe just about anyone with the right holster can carry just about any size handgun. I have a Crossbreed IWB holster thats super comfy for me and I carry a GLOCK 20 10MM. Can carry all day without a problem.

If you must use a .22 try moving up to the 22.WMR has a little more power and Hornady make critical defense round for it

By all means if you can carry a full size gun that you can conceal and first things first, got to be able to hit what you're aiming at then go for it.
