Yeah, I think it’s a great choice. I have seen first hand where the open tip hp’s clog up when going through clothing, especially heavy winter clothing and fail to expand. The flex tip prevents that problem.

The article forgot the Polish com-bloc version of the Mak. I have had a Polish version of the Makarov in 9/18 it is designated a P64 and is dated 1968. I believe it was manufactured by the Polish company Radom. It's very similar to the PPK's. Excellent blued finish. Shoots great, good for CCW.

I don't know how that could've happened Dag but I have never had any problems with anything like that. I shoot in daylight and low light w/o problems. Of course muzzle flare in night scenarios is always a a factor at any any rate.
