Flammenwerfer — World War I German Flamethrowers

Should have never stopped using napalm or flame throwers. Totally demoralizes the enemy and leads to fewer causalities on both sides. Bad guys run away and good guys don't have to dig the enemy out of defensive positions.
Vet, several years in Vietnam.

Exactly right! While it might be a war crime to use Willy Pete against individual combatants, I see no problem with napalm against fortified positions. Same with thermobaric bombs. Great stuff. Justification for its' future use?? Two words: HAMBURGER HILL.
