2 new A salt pistols

Got these two delivered to my door today, i am cornfused. for the life of me i can't figure out where to put the magazine. top one is 36 caliber and bottom is 44. now i don't remember the date they are repros from. guess they really were a salt guns back in their day

Hi,

Nice units! I have a black powder revolver in .44. I bought it used for a good price but it needs a little work. I want to replace the nipples on the cylinder so the most common percussion caps will fit. One of these days.

Top is an 1961 Navy repro.
Bottom is an 1860 Army repro.

Cap and ball revolvers are some of the most fun guns to shoot.
And messiest to clean.

I am out of my blackpowder phase, but these are the two of the most graceful pistols ever made. I should have one of these in my home office desk drawer just to look at...and not be afraid of having a pistol out of the safe that is not on my hip.
