Viridian RFX Reflex Sight Round-Up

I have several Viridian optics and they are pretty good. I particularly like the RX-35 which is SRO like with a very big round window and like the SRO you have to take the optic off to change the battery - which is not the big deal al lot of people seem to make it out to be. It’s 3 moa dot is IMO one of the crispest dots out there. My only real complaint is that in certain outdoor conditions the dot is not bright enough. I was on a weekend course recently where I ran two guns with an RFX35 on them. The sun was blazing and high overhead behind the firing line. When shooting against a white target I found myself wanting to turn the brightness up and it was all the way up. It wasn’t invisible but I wanted more. Indoors I typically run it at the second lowest setting.

Here’s an RFX35 on my PDP.

What i don't like about the rfx35 is the bottom loaded battery AND it's open! Do you have 1 of those gaskets under it? BTW, mine came with a pic attachment which sealed the bottom. I hadn't mounted it yet due to no seal/gasket for it and NOT having a pic rail on a handgun (other than in front of the trigger guard) to mount.

I’ve found that very few bottom loading optics come with any kind of seal and most of them are open on the bottom. I haven’t found this to be a problem but I also haven’t completely submerged one. I have run them in the room and had water sprayed on them during training.

I was trying to remember where I've seen gaskets were sold. Maybe springer precision?
