Was this a 5.11 commercial? I kid I kid... I have one too, the bigger one. I have to say that since I love tools and odd & ends, my range bag has gotten heavy. Lately I removed the cleaning kit from it because I clean when I get home and if I get something jammed up so bad I cant get it fixed, I just put it in the bag and bring it home to my bench. On an EDC range day I do not use gloves either. I did add some basic Triage items lately.

That would also depend on the age of the shooter, for us old geezers we might have a couple depends in there for emergencies, maybe a tube of poligrip for when you get the munchies and hit the vending machines at the range. or a pack of wet wipes cause public bathroom TP is like sandpaper.

Exactly. I have a bag with targets, tools, cleaning supplies etc., but since I go to an outdoor range there is another bag just for ammo and mags. Then add a bag with the pistols, and finally what ever long gun I'll take you need a cart. Those fold up wagons are perfect.

my pelican case is heavy now, plus a back pack and cardboard, clips (targets holders, not bullet holders)
wipes, towels extra glasses, bug spray, band aids
big first aid pack in truck or the explorer
summer....BIG FLY SWATTER

I do not like the 5.11 Trainer bag, it’s just too big. I have the 5.11 bag pictured in the body of the article and you can get a ton of kit in it but the side pockets make it cumbersome and hard to carry - and it’s pretty expensive. I use a Gritr range bag that has a removable tote that can easily hold 4 handguns that I can lift out and drop my guns at my lane rather than manhandling the entire bag. It also has a rigid cleaning mat that doubles as a liner that makes the bag rigid and the you can pull out and lay your stuff out on. It has elastic loops to hold 10 mags and multiple pockets, one of which, contains a full trauma kit. I’m a notorious overpacker and this bag is perfect for me without weighing me down like a boat anchor.
