.308 AR with less recoil than 5.56?

Interesting, but for $4k…
 
They mean felt recoil! Similar to a barrett 50bmg operation (yes, I said similar), but that barrel moves rearward way more than the 50 does. Still a cool and newer innovative firearm.
 
Even at say 2k I think I'd want to wait for (other) people to put them through their paces for awhile. An AR is a simple and reliable piece of equipment. When you start adding more moving parts those dynamics are bound to change. To what degree remains to be seen. When it is seen I may be interested.
 
For anyone who has fired recoil operated belt feds such as MG34s or MG42/M53/ MG3's, the recoil of 8MM Mauser and 308 is very manageable on the platform, granted it's usually not fired shouldered apart from a bipod.
