.327 Federal Magnum Ammo from Federal and Speer

It is exactly that. Great round. It and .32 H&R Magnum are excellent all around choices. Buffalo Bore makes some excellent rounds for both. Factory Federal 104gr. HST is impressive! In a 3" barrel they got 1405fps which calculates out to 455# of energy. Yeah, .357 can best it a bit, but this will definitely get someone's attention. My EDC is a 3" SS .327 SP101. Quite pleased with it. May have to grab a box of that HST though.

I think it falls into the same category as 357SIG, 30 Carbine, 6mm Rem, 280 Ross, 303 Savage, 22Hi Power, 6.8 SPC, 6.5 Grendel, 224 Valkyrie and what was the 30 pistol cartridge that was gonna save the world..... all good cartridges but sadly virtually no where to be found. In a few years you can add 40S&W to that list.
 
I’ve been shooting one for years, SP-101, and later a Single Seven. As the man said it’s bonafide 😉.

Unfortunately I believe it is best suited to a reloader. Alternatively you must keep your eyes open and be ready to buy online in bulk when it comes out. Seems they make a run once a year.

Perhaps the originators of the 30 SC didn't want folks to confuse it with the other ones.

BTW- why isn't the .308 Win called the 31 Winchester?

The 327 and more 32 H&R have a huge following and part of the resurgence in 32 cal Revolvers. Lots of folks at Revolverfest ran them and the 32!cal tevokvers was well represented at industry day there.

And the intro and ammo companies gearing up for 39 SC yha failed thwre was all those rounds that are useful in 32 ammo.

The other perk is you can run several 32 cal rounds in a 327 or 32 H&R minus the 327 the 32 H$R can do S&W king which with Wadcutters is a very good defensive option with about the recoil of a 22 mag but the reliability of a Centerfire and a super heavy trigger pull isn’t needed like a rimfire
 
327's:
Ruger black hawk, sp101, gp100 and single 7.
Tarass 327.

S&w 432uc 32 h&r mag.

S&w improved I frame and 31, 32 long.
H&R top break 32 something.
And I own a Swedish Nagant revolver in 7.5 swedish.

Mostly, the 327's I own are by extension modern 32 s&w longs because the Long is such a sweet shooting cartridge.

I'd like to obtain two or three old revolvers in 32-20 someday.
