40 S&W ammo in a Springfield 10MM?

Unless your shooting a revolver, in a semi auto, no, it should not be done, in a semi auto, the .40 is not fully supported in a 10mm chamber, only thing that’s holding the .40 in place is the extractor, there is no other support, you could be looking at case separation, or worse, many do this, but it’s really a bad ideal, if that case separates, this could be real dangerous. Your always supposed to use the right ammunition in your gun, no short cuts.
