A good friend of mine just gave me 4 boxes of Hornady Leverevolution .44 FTX rounds in exchange for teaching her how to shoot (she's getting threats by some qanon type group of religious pricks. The FBI is on it. Let's hope for many convictions). I've heard the .45/70 FTX rounds use short brass. Anyone know if it's the same with .44 mag? I'd like to be able to reload the brass once it's been used.

They are shorter due to the ftx. I you reload ftx then your fine. The are almost 44special length. That could be an option? I gave a box of 225ftx (bullets only) to my cousin's husband. For tube mags they are fine, but wouldn't waste them on revolvers. Just my opinion.
