With ABC, CBS &NBC ALL run by the left (proven) their entire show is NOT written by the host. Most is by the shows writters. While DL did start getting the way kibble, fellow & moron is he was gone for other reasons. JC was a more even host when it came to politics imho.

The key thing is if the shows are on the big three or affiliates they are classified as broadcast networks vs. strictly cable. They are required to follow FCC regulations about broadcasts in the public interest or will lose their license. I don't know if Kimmel was losing money for the network or not, but the nets sure don't to lose their license.

i think it comes down to...

"wanna entertain the audience, with talk about the movie you just made, or the book you just wrote, or the songs you sing"?

or

"wanna use the show to promote your own political ideologies/agenda".

when the host promotes his/her own agenda over entertaining the audience........time to get rid of him/her, to go to either cable, or a podcast, or a Twitter account.

This is pretty much it. Carson and Leno made fun of everyone. But uiu never really knew who they supported (at least they didn’t preach politics) make a joke whem some trips on themselves and move on.

I kinda feel sorry for the Late Night Hosts. They did what they were told by the network, and hemorrhaged cash doing it. The Network Boys thought it was worth the money, low ratings be damned. Then when they figured out they were not reaching the youth vote like they thought, all these late night guys were shown the door. If they had just bucked the system and been funny/entertaining they would still be on the air. Liberals take note. If you didn't learn the lesson from Musk, learn it from the late night. As soon as you are not useful to the liberals they will turn on you with a vengeance.

They are getting what they deserved, it was he left leaning folks that controlled twitter, FB and all the other media venues that were way quick to silence suspend or cancel anyone for an opposing conservative viewpoint.

They have said a lot worse and are just getting a small taste of it.

That said folks from both sides have said some crazy stuff towards each other and it has bottom worse because unlike the 1980’s when you do it behind a computer you don’t get punch led in the mouth l.
