Along with everything else! Went to an Indian, not dot Indian, casino in NAv, was going to buy a large coffee. Wife was upset that it cost $4.00. To me, whatever the truck stop price, it is OK, …not to her. Had to explain the prices to her. She had not been with me when When I bought coffee, and I had to explain that coffee was that price, not the $1.29 she thought it should be.

I remember them when I was in school. They were big and they sold for fifty cents I think. I remember thinking that they sure shrunk when the kids in my neighborhood sold them last year.
They live up to their name though, IMHO 😊.

Neighbor was probably discussing around the dinner table on who would buy these small offerings for $1.00 when your name came up. 🤔 “If he buys all those cheap guns and Yeet Cannons, he’ll buy anything. Let’s go make that sale” 😂😂

actually, it was on my local news at 6 tonight that halloween may see a shorter duration of chocolate to the spikes in chocolate, for various reasons..

a run down..

Chocolate prices are rising due to record-high cocoa prices, driven by poor weather conditions and climate change in West Africa that have caused crop diseases and reduced harvests, leading to tight supply. Major chocolate companies are responding by increasing retail prices, adjusting recipes with less cocoa or substitute ingredients, and sometimes offering smaller products.

Why are prices rising?
  • Record-high cocoa prices:
The cost of cocoa beans has reached historic highs.

  • Poor weather and climate change:
Intense heat, inconsistent rainfall, and other extreme weather events linked to climate change have damaged crops and created difficult growing conditions in West Africa.

    • Supply shortages:
These weather issues, along with factors like crop diseases and pests, have led to smaller cocoa yields and tight supply, especially from major producers like Ghana and Ivory Coast.
    • Industry response:
Chocolate makers are passing these increased costs on to consumers through higher retail prices and by adjusting product sizes and formulations.

Yeah I remember those when my wife worked for the schools she would purchase a bunch of them. Her excuse was it was for the kids..... I think they were for her but she never gained weight eating all that chocolate. When she was told she was a diabetic she couldn't understand why, I brought up the school chocolates, she said I was a A..!

What is with the fun size of candy. What is fun eating a small morsel of chocolate? We don't do Halloween anymore here. Kids don't walk around neighborhood to get candy. They have their parents drive their fat butts to the trunk n treat to get candy, they don't even have to get out of the car.

i am a type II diabetic, but i still partake in the virtues of cheating.....not on my wife, but on my doctors advice to stop eating the sweets..

hell, i do not drink, nor smoke, and at the very least, absolutely do not eat sweets every day.......

just days that end in "Y".......

actually, the ADA, did come out years ago and said it was "ok. for a diabetic to have 1 of those once in a while.........not to make a habit of it daily.....

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) stance is that with careful planning, people with diabetes can eat fun-size candy in moderation as part of a healthy meal plan. The key principles are to monitor carbohydrate intake, check blood sugar levels before and after eating the treat, and incorporate it into a meal or snack that includes fiber, protein, and fat to help slow sugar absorption.

Moderation and portion control
  • Enjoy in small amounts: Fun-size portions are much better than full-size versions and can satisfy a sweet craving without major blood sugar spikes.
  • Plan ahead: Decide in advance when you will have a sweet treat, and consider pairing it with a meal to provide fiber and protein, which can help slow the absorption of sugar.

I hope you mean one of those bags! I am also type 2.
my wife or i, will on occasion, buy the bags of the bite size or fun size..

i love the old types, like Snickers, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, and good ole Hersey's, and Mounds coconut.....(no almonds )

i will have 1 at least once a day, or one every other day.....

my simple pleasure as a diabetic.

but, to get me thru the night and keep my sugar level up, i will have a Devil Dog and a cup of tea.

or 1 or 2 cookies, as per serving size on the label.

a bag of those candies can last me about a month.
