Hate to see any mfr. go out of business. That said, there are about a zillion folks making AR’s and demand has dropped considerably in the last couple years (at least around here)-something called market saturation. Don’t get me wrong, folks are still buying them , but now it’s their second (or third or fourth or….). Last couple gun shows I’ve been too there was very few AR’s, AK’s and similar pieces. A few years ago, those rifles made up 70% of the stuff there. Local toy shop owner, a friend, tells me his sales of MSR’s are off by 75-80%. Other stuff is moving pretty well, especially the smaller stuff like 365’s, little Glocks, etc. Last month he moved more lever rifles than MSR’s.

i can't say i'm a ruger fan and maybe never own 1 and hopefully they (ruger) does a good job (hopefully a better job) with their ar's! their sfar platform needs better attention especially on those that sent their sfar's back several times to get the same issue fixed. 1 guy i've talked with stated it won't chamber factory ammo.........he knows and i've told him the issue, but still ruger sends it back unchanged. either they did a bad job on chambering or just didn't throat it to saami (minimum). he tried different brands and weights of bullets and some would chamber, but were jammed into the lands. luckily headspaced correctly.

Personally, I never had an issue with thier parts, or lowers.
I know that in the early Obmama Era they had some QC issues, but they fixed them.
Sorry to see them go, I guess now my Andersons are collectable.......

Been pleased with all my Rugers, past and present. 10/22's, Security Six .357 Magnum and P-97 .45 ACP. My Marlin's are and were pre- Ruger. Satisfied with them also. Only Anderson I have is the lower on my AR-15. Functions fine also. I am sure Ruger will continue to produce good stuff!

Hmmmmm, wonder if Anderson will be worth more in the future? the gun shop up the road had one on the wall. maybe a birthday present after the probin later.

I have done Anderson stripped lowers. I don’t anticipate needing any warranty coverage for them. Other than that their parts are basic and pedestrian. I haven’t bought anything of theirs in a long time.
