Super Bowl champion John Vella dead at 74
John Vella, a former Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings standout offensive lineman, has died, the Las Vegas team announced. He was 74.

Hi,
That seems pretty young for an ex-pro football player. But Vella played back in the day of "real" football. Many of his era, and earlier, suffered from CTE which can lead to cognitive issues and early death. Hopefully the modern equipment improvements can lessen traumatic brain injuries. God rest his soul, peace for the family.
