He interpreted a response to his post in the wrong way. He thought he was being disrespected when he was actually being praised for his work ethic. Several members and I tried to point that out to him, and even the person who made the post apologized and explained to him that he took the post in the wrong way. But by then, he had left.

sometimes on other forums
i tend to vanish for months as the lack of camaraderie and thin skin tend to take over
forums are basically a mythical place, we could all be naked, sitting in a basement, or at work fully dressed
no body knows
no faces or few of them, no vocalizing to go along with written text, no facial expressions
so some may get hurt by words because the author ( i am guilty often) didnt convey through the written words the level of emotion if its a joke, a punch or a flat out insult
so for some of us its easier to not check into those forums unless we need something.
here is firearms and LIFE, which makes it work very well..
i have not seen one subject off the list.
