Appendix Carry

With AIWB a person can “look” the gun back into the holster (I don’t remove the holster when reholstering, too many distractions getting the holstered gun and holster back inside my waistband). With 4:00 carry, I don’t see how in the world you can be sure nothing gets in the way on putting the gun back in the holster. Personally, I feel safer with AIWB than I would carrying at 4:00.

Easy. As others have mentioned, you remove the empty holster, place the gun in it (at easy eye distance to ensure no blockages), and place holster back on your belt at 4:00. Or, in my case, 4:30-5:00.

Though I do sometimes carry safer guns AIWB, like LCRs and 442s, or strikers with manual safety.

I do wonder sometimes if those that carry no safety fully cocked strikers AIWB would carry a cocked and unlocked 1911 the same way.

I don’t appendix carry do to my size. I just find what I do easier to hide and the feeling of not pointing it somewhere important.

With that been said we all hide our EDC’s differently and what is good for me won’t be right for the next person.

I will put my 0.10$ in...

So i have only wore a AIWB Kydex(sp?) type holster with a P365 just to get the "feel". It was a different feeling than what i thought, mostly what 2 guys told me and it wasn't comfortable and not un-comfortable just something to get use to. And that will be my first(most likely only) holster type when i get gun.

I have never gone "out" to do anything "fancy" or do anything that needs or has a dress code. So baggy t-shirts and cargo type pants/shorts is what i have worn for 35ish years. and winter time i usually have a thick sweatshirt on if i go anywhere. So i think i have 1 CCW place for a gun to not be waving at people that i have it.

Absolute best AIWB holster I found for my P365 is the Safariland Species holster. Barely notice it while wearing. Seems to disappear, and they're fairly cheap (under $50) compared to most high end holsters

so to steer this thread off road a a little....lol....

Kydex holsters throughout my "researching" CCW things have always been my choice. From the makers local to me and the ones online and kydex holsters can be made at home gives me so many options. But my making one in my "room" will be a 2nd holster...lol...

I want an A1(?) holster but a holster that high-end is way out of my range...lol....
