Not a bad commercial for the 10mm, of which I'm a fan. I believe we've discussed bear defense handguns in other threads so it all depends, as the saying goes. Size of person, bear etc plus the chambering matters. This line here "A proven, full-house 10mm load offers power, velocity, and accuracy on par with big-bore revolver rounds." is not even close to reality. Does the author even know what a big bore revolver is? .480, .454 .44mag+P , .500 SW mag, linebaughs, and others are 2-4 times as powerful with round fps exceeding his 1250 number by quite a bit.

I have several in the 10 flavor that's not a 1911 (g20, g40, 2 m/p's, xdm 5.25"). I prefer the ss mags over the poly. I've seen some ss mags for glock and they ARE pricy! I believe they're over $100.

I almost purchased this exact pistol recently, but the trigger was terrible. Salesman said the Ultra's trigger gets significantly better with use. Maybe...my dealer was asking $779, FYI.

TFL, I have all three of the RIA 10mm 16 round models. They’re very well made and are great additions to my 10mm firearm collection that I own in several manufacturers. Maybe the double stack grip of these 1911s (2011s), will fit you more comfortably than a single stack 1911?
