I wrap a thin piece of masking tape around the turret above the hash marks and mark the range with a pen.

It’s not permanent and prob a bit redneck but I just used a number 2 pencil as a quick mark.

On my once a year deer hunting I don't shoot far enough to worry about this ... but it looks nice and I'm sure is easy to dial in fast.

I like to mark a couple zero marks, generally 100, 200, and 250 will cover it for my 220 Swift. In tight spots I set it for 100, for an open canyon I set it for 200, and for the open prairie I set it for 250. I don't use the turret for exact drop. I don't take the time to range a Coyote or other varmint, I just estimate and let her fly.
