Be careful in this heat people

Where ever these high temps are hitting the next couple days, be careful, hydrate and do not over do out in it.

Yeah I know, Texas, Arizona, Florida and the like, this is a piece of cake, we will discuss sub zero and driving on snow come winter lol.

But for us in say Michigan and other places, temps hovering near 100 with 90 plus percent humidity is in the dangerous range. Got to remember just last week we were having low 40s in the morning and highs of 60s and 70s.

Headed out to mow mothers lawn and might do mine, or maybe wait till tomorrow for mine.

Then put in some tree spikes for a couple of rose of Sharon's trees we planted .

Going back to the comfort of pocket carry. Got my old beat up water bottle too...

My doc says to alternate water and some electrolyte drinks.
Too much water can deplete your sodium, and you may end up in the ER.
My wife learned this the hard way..
Gatorade taste like crap but it does serve a purpose for extreme cases in very high temperature and heavy activity. A team of researchers for the University of Florida invented it for Florida players having issues in the heat and humidity of Florida football practice. Florida Gators... get it lol.

But the West has a DRY heat. Or at least if did before every house needed a swimming pool.

I love the heat and humidity, Dirty Jerzey is a state that seems to get most of the USA weather and summer is the best season.

just drink things that are made with water like iced tea and/or lemonade. And don't over-do your work/fun and take breaks. Gatorade was a drink i loved when i was overly active and could drink it without cramping up. Nowadays there are mix-ins like liquid IV that are really good to keep people from drying out. Things a few people i know add to water at work or if they are out and about.

Enjoy this great weather and take breaks to be "safe" like if you were going to go to a range to shoot a P320...

A co-worker recently said putting a few drops of pickle juice in your water keeps you hydrated and with correct electrolytes & sodium. (First I ever heard that).
My sister once mentioned something about putting some cut up peeled pieces of cucumber in a water bottle for proper hydration…
I dunno about all that; I grew up “rehydrating” from the garden hose off the spigot, back of the house. Iced T at lunch & dinner.

Just avoid the Red #5 and Yellow #4 or whatever crap that is. Try to find a Gatorade with no colorings.
