Big Bore day....Kinda

First was this Great Lakes 308 replacement for the Radical that wouldn't work. well this one does work. never missed a beat. sucker is one heavy monster. was shooting this at 150 yards on the bipod. wind was blowing sideways of the range about 40 mph. Not a great day to shoot long range but i'm there. also at the new club i joined. had it to myself. a lot of these flyers is trying to sight these new scopes in. i shot a lot of rounds and when it got close i quit. i didn't take pics of all the targets.

Second one was the Saint Victor, dern wind kept blowing my target down and it was stuck in the ground, anyway i moved it back up to 100 yards for this one.

Now for the butt kicker, this Rossi 45/70 i figured was gonna knock my goober in the dirt but it wasn't bad as i thought. i haven't looked but i bet i got a bruise. lol had to move the sights on it. but it has the ghost ring sights. pretty easy to aim. i got close and shot a few more and quit. target was at 30 yards.

yep, they are the only ones that make one for the 308.

i sure thought i had 1 or 2 other brands on my ar10's, but nope, only phase5. probably just a v1's and v2's.

It's pretty nice, i figured that 45/70 was gonna hurt but it wasn't too bad. i wouldn't want to shoot 200 rounds through it in one day though. lol

i thought the same thing based on what other people in my town shot from their experiences. same ammo thru an 18.5 and 26" barrels were very pleasant to shoot.

yup thats how i feel with my stag 308 ar10... its heavy, but darn its fun planting the rounds

The heaviest ar i have with optics is 15.5# and lightest is 5.8# (20" barrel). The heavy 1 is a 243win and it has more felt recoil than the 1 nearly 1/3 the weight.
