Building an EDC Medical Kit You’ll Actually Carry

Emergency medical gear might not be sexy, but it’s vital—especially for everyday carry (EDC). Building a kit isn’t rocket science, but creating one that’s compact, organized, and practical enough to carry daily? That can be a challenge.

Our mission here is clear: stop a major bleed from a traumatic injury. There are three primary methods to do that: direct pressure, wound packing, and cutting off blood supply with a tourniquet. Choosing the right method depends on the injury itself.

Good article. Tourniquet (a couoke in your car) some kind of quick clot and gauze .about all anyone short of a Doctor or trained experienced Paramedic has buisness carrying.

I have seen Doctors screw up the whole needle decompression so when I hear anyone mention that it makes me cringe….A Lot!
