Ceramic vs Steel Knives: Is One Better or Are They Just Different?

Are ceramic knives better than steel versions in one way or another? Or are they a fad that will fade in the coming years due to the public’s lack of interest? Not to mention a lack of purchasing such a seemingly unorthodox product?

I used them in the kitchen long before they became available for "tactical" use. Great edge retention and fairly tough. Just don't try to use them to pry anything.

We have ceramic knives at deer camp where we go long periods not being there and high humidity sometimes rusts things when other camp members dont do dishes well.

Used just for cutting meat on your dinner plate. Dont use them for bigger tasks . They have severe limitations. The ones at camp have been there for 10 yrs and no issues .
Got them cheap, so why not
