Changing user names, or: why I love moderators & admins

Dear Beloved Benevolent Befuddling Blissful Beautiful Beguiling Beatific Bold Boundless Bracing Bustling Bouyant admins & moderators...

It just occurred to me that spaces ARE indeed allowed in user names here. Coming from programming college in the 90s, spaces in user names have always been a cardinal sin, so I default to omission when creating names.

I see that the forum will indeed allow me to change my user name in about 3 weeks, but I figured I'd see if turning on the charm could coax any of you into bypassing that rule and adding a few spaces for me... After all, I AM indeed a Certified<space>Silly<Space>Goose

😂

under score and strike threw are also possible if you want. i might not be a programmer, but i can usually tell what's wrong and in some cases (if it's only peripherals/hdd/ssd or other components) i'll change them out, but if it involves a program fix i don't have the knowledge/schooling/education for that. i had a few comp that i used raid0 on that was having an issue, so i chatted with the service/tech peeps (since it still had warranty). they talked me thru the process and supposedly it was the hdd on #1 sata port. well they didn't fix it as it happened again, so i did the diagnostics myself and again it come up with the exact same sata port #1........................so i changed the #0 and #1 (being raid0) and same results....sata #1. so i talked with them again, sent it back to them and all they did was replace the hdd on #1...........a few days later it happened again...sooooooooooo, i talked with them about it being a controller issue or just tje motherboard......they stated they tested that and nothing was found to be bad.................so i changed out the mb and no more issue(s)..............w/o former schooling i do pretty good and only build pc's myself and still running win8 w/o any problems with the exception of win8 not being supported by some programs. i've got a 9yo laptop (i didn't build it) that's still running fine on win10. i'll skip win11.
