Charging Handle Placement

To me it does.

Although I'm right-handed I prefer a left-side charging handle, since I want my strong hand to remain in control of the gun at all times.

On those platforms I have some already have that, while others allow me to switch the handle from right to left.

On other platforms I add-on accessories that make it ambidextrous.

I agree with @Talyn on this. I like it to remain the same with my hand on or near as close to possible to the controls of whichever platform I’m running. I would however like to try this out, looks pretty neat, Devil Dog Arms side charger...

I much prefer a left-side charging handle forward on the hand guard...sooo much more natural.

It’s why I like HK's and AUG's.

I have two MSAR E4's.

Looked at AUGs for a long time but wanted to standardize with AR (STANAG) mag. Once the MSAR E4's came out that way I got my first one, then built up another from acquired parts.

Never have had any issues with my MSAR's but have picked up alot of spare parts including the AR bolt conversions for future use.

I've been looking at those for awhile. Don't know if I'll spring for one to try out, since my muscle-memory is pretty much automatic in operating an AR. Interesting though.

Yeah if I catch it on sale I may go for it and put it on one of my range rifles. I like the reviews I have read on them. I’m with ya, I like what I know but this seems intriguing.

I can adapt fairly easily. I do prefer to keep it shouldered and my strong hand in control. Even with a bolt action I run the bolt without taking my shooting hand from the grip.

I’ve got a couple AUGs. One A3 which I use, and a pre-ban with 9mm kit which I haven’t, yet. Bought a ton of mags (have some of the PMags, too, but have yet to run them).

Honestly...between it and my HK93’s/53 “pistol”...I’m moving away from AR’s. I really like how the 16” AUG is shorter than my 10” AR pistol with a brace...
