Good read on Colt’s 10mm Delta Elite, had one of the original ones when they came out, I still say the 10mm ammo back then had more power then today’s
All I know the old Norma 10mm was very stout, maybe Corbon may be similar??I’m betting they are downloaded because of the “Recoil” issue. What are hotter rounds seem to be similar to the old stuffimho.
I haven’t used that in my S&W 610, but I highly doubt it’s close to the older 10mm, seems like when the 10mm fad faded away years back and then it resurfaced again, ammo lost some of its umph. How does the 180 grain Sig ammo compare to the older 10mm ammo?
Although I’m getting rid of two of my handguns I’ll be hanging onto my Taurus snub nose 357 Magnum/38special; an all black gun and at this time the two SA Elite XDM 3.8 Compacts. One is a 45acp and the other a 10mm I will say this if that Delta Elite 1911 10mm was made in all black I would buy that in a heartbeat.Good read on Colt’s 10mm Delta Elite, had one of the original ones when they came out, I still say the 10mm ammo back then had more power then today’s
Yep. I regret selling mine. All black with rubber wrap around grip, and 3 dot sights. I wish I could have had a beavertail grip safety installed on it. There were no gunsmiths available near me that were qualified and had experience working on 1911s. That Norma ammo definitely punished my hand. That was the main reason I sold it.Although I’m getting rid of two of my handguns I’ll be hanging onto my Taurus snub nose 357 Magnum/38special; an all black gun and at this time the two SA Elite XDM 3.8 Compacts. Yep.the regular range crap for the 10 is indeed downloaded, very similar to the .40 loading. If you stick with the premium brands like buff bore, underwood etc you get the power of the original.
Not necessarily….38 was downloaded from the 158 grain of the 60s, to those made in the 80s, IMO. At least the stuff I was issued in 1971 seemed to be stouter compared to what I was using in the late 80s. This matter got be the result of manufacturing concerns about revolver strength. S$W went from the 19 to the L frame. Not scientific here, just my impressions…I’m betting they are downloaded because of the “Recoil” issue. It’s been a few years since I last shot a 10mm but seem to recall the Sig ammo being slightly warmer than other brands I could actually find locally at the time. I never came across any of the older stuff to compare it to.I haven’t used that in my S&W 610, but I highly doubt it’s close to the older 10mm, seems like when the 10mm fad faded away years back and then it resurfaced again, ammo lost some of its umph.
Thanks for the thumbs up still need to find the mag springs but probably no one offers them.First time going to my new range tomorrow. Have to zero a new Holosun EPS 6moa green dot on my SA1911 AOS 45acp Operator. Also have to re-zero Sig Romeo X Enclosed Compact 6moa red dot on my Sig P-365 Fuse. Have only fired the 365 once and had failures to feed every other round with 21 round mags. No FTF with the 17 round mag. Does anyone know what company might sell extra power mag springs for the 21 rounders? Probably put this in the wrong place maybe someone will see it.
