Colt Python: Is The Reboot Revolver A Plum Or Lemon?
The re-introduction of the Colt Python has been a rollercoaster of excitement and disappointment. So what's the story on this highly anticipated handgun?

Good to hear. I plan on getting a 6" model which will go nicely with my 4" used model. Just waiting for the "New" gun issues are fixed as they continue to roll of the lineWhat I read on that from Colt, was the side plate wasn’t torqued to specs, I guess the side plate puts pressure on the hand, in turn, keeping it lined up correctly with the ratchet on the cylinder, some of the earlier pythons that had the issue with the cylinder not turning when trigger was pulled were corrected by Colt re-torquing them to specs.
I'm in no hurry, I'll wait it out.My gun shop has the 4.25” version, but it’s at list price....![]()
Sad, you pay that much for it, and you got to send it back for something that should have been done right the first timeOnly a handful of Pythons were sent back for work.
Sounds like someone needed more training.
Sounds like they were built on a Monday after a holiday weekend.
