They don't good work, if you can wait. But don't expect miracles. Until I see a 10mm lightweight commander size from Springfield I'm done.

I have heard the same thing. Many of our nation’s better gunsmiths are retiring….

Bill Laughridge does great work. Years ago he slicked up a Colt 1911 for me, so later I had him slick up a S&W 1911 and install an Ed Brown barrel and bushing. He replaced all the MIM parts with Ed Brown Hardcore Parts. And of course an arched mainspring housing. He was in town for the Bianchi Cup and let me watch. A real artist. But yeah, I am sure he is close to retirement age. I am sure he has a succession plan. He would not let the business just close from my impressions of him.
