CZ P09C Nocturne thoughts.

Well I went to therapy today and boy it was bustling with people and didn’t know it was a group session. I decided to bring both my CZ’s today.

Yes I only have 2 at the moment because I’m still considered new since I started about 3 years ago. As I’m learning with the Nocturne before therapy today it does take the P10C magazines but the P10C doesn’t take the nocturne magazines (it is the baseplate set up).

The first target I decided to do a side by side of both CZ’s.

Kinda had to get into a grove in the group session and remember the irons along with grip (I been on an XDm kick lately). Otherwise therapy got better.

My 2 target was introduced.

Still a little off but I have shot a lot worse before. This is where my alignment was been realized.

The 3 target is where therapy struck home.

I felt at one with the Nocturne at this moment even I had 1 magazine that didn’t like to release the freedom seed during therapy.

During therapy I was shooting Winchester 124 grain nato (I honestly expected it to be dirty and unreliable but worked the opposite), Aguila 124 grain, and Freedom munitions 124 grain 9mm. I did wear my “willing to work for ammo” shirt to therapy today. Otherwise a productive therapy session.

My final thoughts 💭 on the CZ P09C Nocturne is this — it’s a really great hammer fired firearm and definitely different than its slightly older counterpart the P10C. I was shooting with a smile while in single action mode saying “I love this trigger”. Yes I’m used to the trigger safety of the P10C (and others). Only problem I had was 1 magazine holding onto the last round and it’s not major enough for me since I dealt with a lot worse. The sights were dead ☠️ on and recoil was very minimal to what I’m used too.

So if anyone ever thinks I’ll get rid of this beast then they will have to wait till I’m 6’ under. By then I’ll have the CZ P09F nocturne.

@Jsimon78 , you will grow to love the CZ brand soon enough.....my first 2 guns were (bought at the same time, at 2 different stores) the G-17 and the CZ 75 B...

it became a "love at first shot", for the CZ.......and frankly, same with the G-17

i think you will want to name your next child...."CZ"............

but hold off a bit more to name the other new child....Glock

My P10C is usually the go to for 9mm when it comes to events. Now it has company (P09C nocturne). I’ll admit I am a tad bit of a CZ fanboy. They are comfortable to shoot and have pretty accurate irons. As for Glock it’s pretty low on my list of go too. Right now the G23.5 is the only one I have since I thought they were getting rid of it.

Hi,

Nice report. I find my sessions therapeutic as well. That bad guy target is a fun one.

I see the difference on the mag base plates. Would both pistols take all the mags if you used the P10C base plates all around? Just a thought. Or stock up on P10C mags and use them in both. I bought a bunch of mags for my XD9 and they all work on my Mod.3, that's pretty handy. ;)

Otherwise, nice workout. The bad guy is well ventilated. Thanks for sharing your fun.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Yes the base plates are different between the P10 and P09. The P10 mags do work in the P09 but not the other way around.

I’m in the middle of changing ranges so no reports till then.
