CZ Range Day - Shadow 2 Carry 10 Oct 25

Lab4Us

Custom
Made it to the range today with my CZ Shadow 2 Carry. 150 rounds of Winchester NATO 124g FMJ until gone then 70 rounds of Winchester Ranger T 147g JHP.

For warm up, did 5 rounds each @ 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 yards, top left, top right, middle, bottom left, bottom right.

Next I tried a new drill target on found on line and bought 20 (they came on a roll to peel off as you need them). Started at 3yds and apparently will be there a bit. Instructions are at the bottom of the target and for the warm up small squares, I went top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right. Then I went into the drill (though instead of drawing from holster, started at ready position - range not set up for drawing, counter in the way). Targets below are after each round.

After I finished that, I pasted up a fresh drill target and did it again. Here is the final target of that round. Somehow threw a round into top of background target, completely off of drill target.

I look forward to working these targets with all my various handguns! HOWEVER…no range trip would be complete without a with VITAL DUDE SHOWDOWN!

3 yds, 5 rounds each left then right shoulder, slow fire
5 yds, 10 rounds center fast as can target from ready
7 yds, 10 rounds center fast as can target from ready
15 yds, 5 rounds center, slow fire
3 yds, 5 strings of 2 round to center, 1 round to head as fast can target from ready

All in all a fun day!

All in all a fun day!
His deordorant still does not perform well. Leaves holes in his coverage 😉

Hey @Lab4Us!

Nice workout. Really good shooting too. Vital Dude doesn't seem to have much vitality left. ;)

Those big dot torture stickers are pretty cool. Where did you find them? I use a different dot torture that I print on a regular 8.5x11 sheet of paper. I'll attach it for anyone who wants it.

I had a class tonight and at the debrief told my instructor that I had one flyer not hit where I wanted it to. He joked, "We'll just call that a warning shot." The class laughed. Good stuff.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Got them here… https://stkytargetsystems.com/collections/drills-and-skills

The more you buy, cheaper they are. Haven’t tried any of their others yet. I was surprised they came on a roll as that sure makes it easy to put in range bag, then peel off as needed. There is a hard cardboard roll in the center. I put the UpLULA there as a size comparison.
