The CZ Shadow 2 Carry

At its core, the CZ Shadow 2 Carry (S2 Carry for short) is an all-metal, 4-inch-barreled, 15-round-capacity, hammer-fired, double-action/single-action (DA/SA) 9mm pistol with a decocker. As of now, the street price hovers just shy of $1,400, though I’ve seen it as low as $1,299. I suspect that price will drop about $100 as the year goes on, assuming CZ keeps importing them to meet demand.

For that price, you get:
  • The pistol
  • Two 15-round magazines (CZ 75 small-frame compatible)
  • A cleaning kit (segmented rod and brush)
  • A manual
  • A warranty registration form
  • A cable lock
  • All neatly packaged in a CZ-branded hard case

when i received an email a month or so ago about this firearm, it became the 1st cz i would want to own. i've never found any cz handgun at a ffl place to even look at.............kinda wanna see if my wrist comply with the grip angle 1st............same with a 92/96, but did manage to hold 1 in okc tho.

I was able to fire a friends CZ a couple of months ago and I really liked it. The trigger pull seemed to be around 3 lbs and, frankly, I fired it better than my 1911s and Hi Powers. Therefore, I rode over to the LGS where they had one in stock:

I measured the trigger pull on mine and it was just under 3 lbs from the factory. The Holosun optic really helps my 78 year-old eyes. I've got just over 500 rounds through it without any issues.

I really wavered between on of these and my P229 Legion SAO…but, the Legion won out.
