#$@$&+-Daylight saving time

Isn't it just wonderful that millions of people have rearrange their sleep patterns so 10 to 15 % of those get an extra hour to play golf. They should get up early, go to work earlier so they can get off earlier, to go play golf. $@@#&$##& Daylight savings time is complete and total ********. Farmers and ranchers do not require it, they work from sunup to sundown year round. I swear it's a Communist plot thought up by the FBI at the Hoover building to **** Americans off. Well congrats you did it, happy?
Just had to get that out this morning.
Thank you.

well...what can i say.......every year, 2 times a year in fact, i take those saturdays to reset all the clocks, but my watch gets gone the sunday when its all said and done...that way, i can turn on the 'puter, and make sure i reset my watchy to the nuclear, atomic, radiational US Atomic time clock....

let it be known that i fully understand everyone's complaint about the time changes, and i feel for all of you....

but its once again, my early morning nap time.............so i'll continue my feelings for all of you....in a little bit......

Some atates like FL argue its because the kids at the school bus stop would be standing in the dark waiting for their buses. Particulary the middle school age and younger. Safety issue. I get it. I dont agree thouh.

Middle schooler here in N tx got killed last year crossing the street to the school in the dark.

That's the excuse I've heard. Like you, I understand but don't have to like it.

Yep, and now here in South GA they having to get through the darkness in the morning because of DST.
As mentioned in one reply let's split the difference leave it alone and call it a day.

I remember I Diana didn’t observe DST until around 2006. We were on EST in the winter and CST in the summer

If we can’t do away with it I have a proposal. Instead of changing our clocks in the middle of the night and loosing sleep in the spring let’s change it forward at 4 pm on a work day and go home early!!!!!

In the fall keep it on the weekend so we get an extra hour!

It's great up here up north to have extra day-light at the end of the work/play day vs. those in the south where the daylight changes aren't as pronounced.

We have the greatest natural daylight changes in the spring, winter & fall than those down south. We'll gain 100 min of daylight just this month.

No one "lost" an hour since there still 24 hours in the day, the planet didn't slow down it's rotation.

And since this happens on the weekend no one "lost" an hour of sleep.

There's no tangible evidence that more heart-attacks & strokes occur, although some get "wrapped-around-the axle" about taking a couple minutes to change the clocks that don't automatically adjust, and no kids get lost going to school because the clocks change, as some claim.

Wish they would leave it on "Daylight Saving Time" but there's still some Flat Earthers that don't.

I, for one, never have been able to adjust to the time change. I have a sleep disorder that became apparent in my mid 30s. People used to call me a "night owl" and I used to think I simply was one of those "late to bed, late to rise" guys. When I was a young man, it wasn't such a big deal. Without going too deep into sleep science, a person my age should have 5 contiguous sleep cycles a night. I'm lucky if I have 4, and never being contiguous. The time change is about far more than some extra daylight to people like me. Anything that impacts my sleep cycles impacts my health.

The fall change affects me, whereas the spring change doesn't.
